Avalon Airshow – March 2025

Overview

Tasmanian businesses and other defence-relevant entities are encouraged to submit an expression of interest (EOI) to join the Tasmanian delegation exhibiting at Avalon International Airshow, 25-27th March 2025, in Melbourne.

The Avalon Airshow 2025 event is intended to provide Tasmanian businesses with an opportunity to attend, establish or grow a presence and develop networks at a global business, defence and aviation event. The event attracts senior aerospace, defence, civil aviation and government decision-makers from Australia around the world.

We encourage participation from organisations with existing defence contracts as well as organisations emerging in this space.

There are two options for participation in the Tasmanian delegation to Avalon Airshow 2025:

• As an exhibitor on the Defence Tasmania stand; or
• As a ‘rover’.

Exhibitors

Exhibitors will occupy a dedicated space on the Defence Tasmania stand to promote their products and services.

All exhibitors will receive the following:

• professionally designed and custom-built Defence Tasmania trade show stand: fully managed by the Department of State Growth with input from exhibitors
• support from the Tasmanian Government  to directly connect them with decision makers and defence personnel of influence
• dedicated display space on the stand and a 500mm x 500mm plinth for small products
• inclusion of imagery/logos in the stand design
• inclusion of their videos and imagery on any AV displays
• logo placements within the design
• merchandise promoting Tasmanian industry
• general assistance with their participation before and during the event
• inclusion in the Avalon International Airshow web-based portal which provides B2B opportunities with visiting companies and delegation.

Exhibitors may have the opportunity to incorporate product displays into the stand design itself. Product displays draw increased attention to your business and provide an excellent opportunity to showcase your product directly to attendees at the event. Please indicate in your EOI that you are interested in exhibiting products on the Defence Tasmania stand, and we will work with you to determine what may be possible within the parameter of the stand design.

Rovers

Tasmanian businesses who are exploring opportunities in the aviation sector, but which may not be ready to take a space on the Defence Tasmania stand are encouraged to join the delegation as rovers. Rovers are not allocated space on the stand to exhibit but can benefit from the connections and knowledge of the Defence Tasmania team as they explore opportunities at the event.

Costs

Exhibitors

As this is the first year establishing a Tasmanian presence at the event, the Tasmanian Government will fully fund the Defence Tasmania stand and there is no cost for exhibitors to attend and have a presence on the stand.

The cost of delivering large products being displayed on the stand on the stand will be split between the exhibitor and the Department of State Growth. Please indicate you are interested when submitting your EOI, and our team will work with you to develop a solution.

Rovers

There is no cost to attend the event as a rover other than usual registration fees.

Accelerating Trade Grant Program

Participating businesses may also be eligible to apply for the Accelerating Trade Grant Program to offset the costs of participating in this event. For more information please visit:
