Feedback from the expert peers

The peers discussed the overall quality of the applications and made the following comments:

  • Applicants were encouraged to use headings and dot points when writing applications to make things clearer for the peers during assessment.
  • The stronger applications to this round included:
    • clear information around the applicant’s links to the Tasmanian Aboriginal community, and information around the links for any other key artists involved
    • details around how the activity may benefit both the applicant and Tasmanian Aboriginal people
    • properly paid opportunities for Tasmanian Aboriginal people
    • confirmations of involvement from any artists named in the application
    • letters of support from appropriate members of the Tasmanian Aboriginal community that showed a genuine relationship to the artist or applicant.
