Western Tasmania Export Corridor Plan
The Tasmanian Government is developing a Western Tasmania Export Corridor Plan (the Plan), supported by $550 000 from the Australian Government’s Regional Infrastructure Fund.
Building on the Western Tasmania Industry Infrastructure Study, the Plan will identify and prioritise solutions to supply chain constraints that affect the productivity and competitiveness of the mining industry and economic development in Western Tasmania.
The objectives of the Plan are to promote planning and coordination that:
- improves the productivity and efficiency of key freight corridors within the Western Tasmania region
- protects and enhances infrastructure capacity where required and ensures integration of road, rail, and port infrastructure
- supports industry development and growth through efficient supply chain solutions.
